Some Like It Hot
Surface temperatures in Lake Huron this summer have reached 21 to 24 degrees C. (low 70's F). Not record setting, but welcomed in this hot summer weather. Perhaps surprisingly, Coordinator of Michigan State University's Coastwatch Program Charles Pistis says these numbers are on par with previous years. Pistis says he's seen surface temperatures reach about 32 degrees celsius during the late 1990's.
