Bluewater Borderfest – City And Colour

By: Carrie Buchanan

9/6/2023

Bluewater Borderfest comes to Centennial Park in Sarnia June 22 – 24 with many amazing acts including City and Colour!

Performing on stage Friday June 23 along with the Sheepdogs, The Bluestones and The Down River Band.

The song “Underground” reminds us that life is a gift and to make the most of every moment while you can.  It comes from the album “The Love Still Held Me Near”, produced by Dallas Green and longtime band member and collaborator Matt Kelly.

The album comes from the most difficult period in his life, including the tragic loss of his best friend in 2019.

Dallas says  the album “was born out of unimaginable loss and the subsequent journey through the grief and heartache that followed. It’s about digging deep down into yourself and attempting to unearth hope and light in the things that can comfort you through those times. For me that has always been writing and recording music, so that’s exactly what I did.”
